Going back to Mike…It seems thats he chose Curious George over any other chimp, gorilla, or any other primate because of their striking resemblance.

Since when is open racism heroic? Maybe the reason other people only whisper ignorant comments is because they have a thread of a conscience and realize that what they’re doing is morally wrong and perhaps they’re ashamed.
The debate here is not American rights or freedom of speech. Racism is and will always be ridiculous and terribly inappropriate. What makes any one human superior over another? Absolutely nothing. I propose that Mike should “Get over” himself.
What’s funny is that while he was trying his hardest to insult Obama, he only made himself look foolish.

For the record, my comment was taken totally out of text. I am his daughter and my words to the writer were consistent with “he is a brilliant educated man regardless of what is on his signs. He is “personality” just as a radio or tv personality, I can promise you he pokes fun where he knows he can pull strings. His views do not always parallel what his signs say and I can assure you I don’t agree with him all the time” Regardless, he is my Dad and I love him. He doesn’t agree with me, I am his daughter, he loves me. So before you take what you read as the gospel, find out facts on your own. It took this to help me realize that not everything you read or see in the news is exactly what is going on.
Yes I do see the resemblance with the ears and hairline. One of the first things you notice about Obama is that his ears stick out a little and the fact that his ears stick out also bring attention to his short cut hair. Curious George doesn’t look exactly the same, but the same two features stand out.
Mike Norman also probably likes the connection between Curious George’s naivite and the perception he probably has that Obama is too green and naive when it comes to politics.
Mike Norman is a Republican, so of course you could expect a hard position on illegal immigration, and a dislike of the verdict of the OJ trial (as well as a dislike of Hillary). He’s also not a subtle, tactful guy, which shows up in all of the things you cite.
No evidence yet that he’s racist. He’s lacks any sense of good taste though. Or the sensitivity to realize how people would look at this.
Not that I think Bush=chimp pictures are any better, though I’m sure you do.
